Please arrive at least 10 minutes before class begins. First-time students are encouraged to arrive 15 minutes before their first class in order to complete the waiver form and get acquainted with the studio.
No cell phones, no shoes, no socks, no purses, no extra clothing, etc. allowed in yoga room. (If you bring your cell phone inside the studio at all, please turn it off before class.)
Please no perfume, cologne, or heavily-scented lotions in class.
Do not come to class with a full stomach. Ideally, do not eat 2-3 hours before class.
Always sign in before class and print legibly. Notify the front desk if you have a class package already or if you are dropping in for a single class.
Wear light, non-restrictive, comfortable clothing. For the Bikram Style class, tight shorts and a sports bra are encouraged (but not required) for women; for Bikram Style men, tight shorts and no shirt are encouraged (but not required).
Please refrain from talking in the yoga room. Many students use the time before class to quietly meditate and center themselves as they prepare for class. Respect the space, respect your fellow students, respect your teacher, and respect your own stillness.
Before coming to class, drink plenty of water throughout the day. Also, bring water to class.
After class, observe silence for the final savasana.
Leave the room quietly. Respect your fellow students.
Please return rented mats to the front desk. We will wash and disinfect them.
Leave no trace. Please deposit trash, recycling, mats, and towels in their proper place. Take home your clothes, water bottles, and equipment. We donate items that are left for longer than 2 weeks. Chagrin Yoga is not responsible for items left at the studio.
We are here for you. Please ask your teacher any questions before or after class. Or contact our Yoga Advisor with any concerns or questions you may have as you begin your journey with yoga.
Enjoy yourself! Yoga is life-changing. It is challenging, important and serious, but it is also a lot of fun!
