On May 27, 2014 I took my first step on a path recommended to me by a dear friend, this path is yoga. I limped into a yoga studio on a cane I had been using for a few years due to a bad knee that was only getting worse (bone on bone, cartilage deterioration, arthritis). This practice brought me strength, flexibility and healing to allow me to walk unassisted after years of pain and cane walking… all the while I was getting healthier, stronger, faster I was healing from the inside as well, I found happiness growing where I thought there was no fertile ground for it to make root.

I would tell everyone I would encounter my story, especially if I felt it might motivate them and keep them from giving up on this yoga practice and it’s possibility to heal their body… soon people began telling me to become a teacher since I have so much love for the practice.

So I did just that and trained to become a Certified Yoga Instructor through Chagrin Yoga’s 200 hour teacher training. This path now brings me to a life of happiness and purpose… something I was convinced I would have neither of. I truly love the transformative potential that yoga provides. I took my life back and found my people who have supported me throughout this transitory period in my life made the journey here amazing.
