We’re happy to announce a new class called Senior Yoga that will be taught by Sherry Safier and will be held on Wednesdays from 1:30 – 3:00 pm starting in January 2014.
This 90 minute class will start with 35 minutes of floor stretches. For balance postures, we’ll use the wall in order to get the most out of muscular and bone density building.
Our flow will work for shoulders and hips and will also create powerful but gentle twists from the navel. Balance in motion challenges our mind and focus. Remember, your mind shuts down before your body falls out of it’s pose! The class will finish with a multiple choice of inversions, stretches and a deep, relaxing Savasana.
This is the perfect opportunity to introduce the seniors in your life to the healing and beneficial practice of yoga!
