We offer yoga basics classes multiple times per week, which are excellent for learning the foundations of yoga. We also offer this class as a workshop throughout the year.
Power basics, Bikram basics, slow flow, and Vinyasa flow classes are also suitable for all levels of practitioners, from beginner to experienced.
Comfortable athletic clothes that allow you to move freely in all postures, including inversions. Wicking fabric tends to be ideal as you will sweat.
A water bottle and a yoga mat. If you don’t have your own mat, you may rent one of our freshly sanitized mats at the front desk for $2 or you may purchase one in our boutique.
We provide blocks, straps, bolsters, blankets, and other props that you may use during class.
Registering ahead of class isn’t required, but it reserves your spot in classes with limited space.
If it’s your first class at Chagrin Yoga, arriving about 15 minutes early will give us time to get you registered and show you around the studio. Once in the system, you can schedule classes and workshops through the Mindbody scheduling website or app.
Yes! In fact, you are a perfect candidate for yoga. Many people think they need to be flexible to begin yoga, but come as you are. As you continue to practice yoga, you will become more flexible and stronger.
That’s okay! You don’t need to know anything about yoga before your first class. Just come in and set your mat up. All you have to do is listen and concentrate as best as you can in order to get the most out of your practice. Our yoga basics teachers will guide you into each pose and remind you to breathe throughout class.
If it would make you more comfortable, you may let your instructor know you’re new to yoga so they can help you out as needed.
You can also set up your mat in the middle of the room and take cues from people around you during class.
It is always appropriate to talk to the instructor about any existing physical conditions and concerns you have about them.

We strive to stay open even when the local schools are closed because of inclement weather. We will post class cancellations to social media and notify registered class attendees if we cancel the class. Come in and warm up with us or check out our many virtual class options.
