Why Chiropractic?
Chiropractic philosophy believes that the body has a innate intelligence that allows itself to heal if given the proper tools to do so. Chiropractic care is a functional type of medicine based on discovering and correcting the malfunction in the nervous system (the root cause of the problem) and its surrounding structures (the joint complex and bony structures). The chiropractic profession does not believe in simply administering medication for a condition (putting a band aid on the problem) only to provide symptomatic relief. Our chiropractic physician is sympathetic to the pain the patient is experiencing but concentrates treatment on the proper function of the joint complex and nervous system resulting in ultimate patient health. When the joint complex is functioning in the proper capacity the nervous system is able to function properly. It is at this ultimate functional capacity when the patient experiences long term symptomatic relief, sustainable functional improvement and ultimately the achievement of the patient’s individual health goals.

What techniques does the doctor use to treat patients?
The doctor uses many different chiropractic techniques and therapies to customize care and provide the best results for the benefit of each patient. With her vast knowledge and experience in the chiropractic field she has mastered many techniques to treat the varied patient population and customize a treatment protocol for the individual patient need. She utilizes digital X-ray through the Cleveland Clinic and provides comprehensive neurological, orthopedic and range of motion testing through her examinations before treatment begins. After the exam, she provides a comprehensive report of findings for the patient detailing their X-ray and exam findings. This ensures that the patient not only knows what they are being treated for but why the condition is occurring. It is at this time she answers any questions the patient may have. She discusses the patient’s goals for treatment and works with the patient to set a realistic treatment plan to achieve their set goals. This allows for better patient compliance resulting in better patient outcomes.

Does the doctor accept insurance?
The chiropractor has a fee for service/cash practice. The patient, however, may choose to submit paperwork to their insurance company for the possibility of reimbursement. The doctor does not submit to insurance nor does she provide any follow up service on behalf of the patient for the purpose of insurance reimbursement. This allows her to keep the cost to the patient at a minimum. She will, upon request, provide the patient with a superbill that details the daily charges and services provided to the patient. This in no way guarantees reimbursement to the patient from their insurance company as all insurance benefits vary as does the plan purchased by the patient. If requested by the insurance company, the doctor may provide notes for the purpose of patient reimbursement for a small fee to cover copying costs.

What are the doctor’s hours?
The doctor will be treating patients on Tuesday and Thursday mornings by appointment only. To make an appointment you may contact her directly at (440) 655-3880.

As she has always believed, she offers a complimentary consultation to discuss if you are a candidate for chiropractic care.
